.: welcome
When we think about elder law, we focus on the impact that an uncertain future can have on the families of those who are affected. To plan for this we look to several different areas. Topics of elder law include: wills, trusts, health care, Medicaid, long term care, estate taxes, and many others as well.
Our planning focuses on the involvement of the whole family and involving everyone in yours is a good beginning to what can be a tedious process. At ELRC we strive to find the elder care solutions for generation after generation of families. We also focus on the rights of the client and the care they are receiving, to ensure they are always being treated under the letter of the law.
In some cases those who require long term care assistance, whether it be at home or in a nursing facility, can be subject to abuse or negligence. Part of our mission is to alert our clients of their rights. Every client has some basic rights that caregivers must make them aware of. We constantly assess the care one receives to ensure they are treated fairly.
Before being admitted for care to any facility, a patient should be made aware of their own general rights, the facility’s rules and policies as well as their fees and services.
If you or anyone you know have questions or concerns about any of these issues do not hesitate to call us.
